Apparently, I’ve discovered the holy grail of Basara crack on Pixiv.
I’m usually pretty on-off with Nurarihyon no Mago. I love pretty much anything related to youkai, but I don’t really like the arcs where regular humans are involved. Which might explain why I never cared enough for the recent One Hundred Tales arc to properly read it. Now that Rikuo has the reforged Nenekirimaru I’m curious to see where the story leads, especially in regards to the upcoming fight with the Nue.
I was disappointed to see that the newest chapter starts with Rikuo properly introducing his human friends to his youkai companions. I just skimmed through that, really. However, the surprise reintroduction to Tamazuki —who hasn’t been seen in about a hundred and fifty chapters— was quite welcome. Seeing the Nura-gumi interacting with youkai from other regions —or with the onmyouji, who I don’t really count as “human”— is what I generally look forward to the most in the series. Considering that the Shikoku youkai were on poor terms with the Nura-gumi, I want to see where this leads.
Also, curiouser and curiouser, who is Nurarihyon meeting? The Inugamigyobu Danuki?
